Jeff Davis Parish Community Network ranked second in the state on the Early childhood 2016-17 Performance Profile.

EES Pre-K

The network includes Jeff Davis Parish Public Pre-K classrooms, Save the Children Head Start in Jennings and Elton, and Brite Beginnings of Jennings Child Care.
Brite Beginnings of Jennings was recognized by the State and Jeff Davis Parish for their performance of providing high quality care for our youngest learners with this 2016-17 Birth to Three Honor Roll. Superintendent Kirk Credeur presented the award at the November School Board Meeting to Director and owner Stephanie Fontenot.

Elton Elementary met the highest bar of early childhood quality as recognized on the 2016-17 Excellence Honor Roll for consistently providing exceptional teacher/child interactions. The Pre-K classrooms at EES are ranked 4th out of 1500 sites in the state. Superintendent Kirk Credeur presented the award at the November School Board Meeting to Pre-K Teachers Gretchen Bertand, Amber Deshotel, Principal David Harper, and Paraprofessional Nikki Miller
